The Official K'NAAN Website

Greetings. It's been almost a week since Troubadour hit stores.
And for that whole time, the album has been in the top 5 on iTunes
America and Canada. A friend told me that, sometimes it's nice to
sit back and smell some roses. I'm taking a deep breath at this moment.
Because what a special thing it is to see all this positive feedback
pouring in. From magazines to the streets, artists to new fans,
I'm really grateful for what everyone has to say, and for this moment
in time. I hope the world continues to hear this album, hope it
continues to spread and reach all those who need it. I'm proud
to see good music getting its shot. If you haven't picked it up
yet, I hope you are able. Tell a friend. Spread the word. We're
about to make a splash on em. It's Troubadour time!

Speachless absolutely Speachless. I just Don't know what to say about you and your songs, your voice and yes personality. Because unfortunatly everyone has said all before me. What have i got to say? Verly, you're a beautifull person. Keep it up because you have been encouraged by everyone who knows you and the rest are coming to do so. I wish you could come all the way to Where I live "Australia" to show us more. Thank you very much for what you've giving to the world.

yo...keep doing what you're doing. Mad love K'naan. I got both your albums. I aint saying what you don't hear everyday but, I'm a big fan. You're the only artist I listen to besides the old school music. Hip Hop needs you, especially now that these so called gangster rappers are playing with music. Mad LOVE K'naan!

Troubadour is an amazing album. I love all the songs. A live version of "Waivin Flags", with a lot of ppl who know the song would be great, like no woman no cry on legend. And, seriously "Fatima" is a single, and a very popular single that song can take off.

What a great show in our wee little Finley's Pub. I feel blessed to have been there. Viva Somalia! Viva Kanada! You've got such a great crew backing you up. Best $40 I've spent in years. Thanks for coming and hey, that power breakdown just left us hungry for more. Nobody minded, but all the pub staff were mortified! Thanks for coming back to finish the show. The Kootenays love you!

Saw your show in Vancouver tonight. I haven't written anything in verse for quite a while, but, your honest performance inspired a little something for you.

Preaching the human spirit
noble and proud for we to hear it
humble and grown in secret
to bare speak to truth,
to believe and feel it.
A little luminecence,
a peek at human essence,
a bit of art a bit of soul a bit of absent pretense.
so,
Keep speaking truth to power,
keep searching every hour,
keep finding ways with words to rain on rocks and bring them to flower.

You absolutely deserve it!
Since I discovered your music a week ago both of your albums have been on loop (and yes I BOUGHT them on iTunes :) )
You're an amazing storyteller!
Listening to your albums I felt I took a journey with you.
I was not just listening to but experiencing your words.
What a gift!
Please never compromise it!
Honesty in art takes a lot of courage. It can be both frightening and painful; one must face the prospect of the work one loves being rejected, dismissed, under-appreciated.
THANK YOU for sharing your heart, soul, mind with us!
THANK you for being strong enough to GIVE.

Just bought my copy on Sat. and have not stopped listening! I carry it wherever I go, until I can get it into my zune... it truly makes me happy/excited/thrilled, all of the above to hear conscious music. To embrace love and hate, these opposite labels... they are all just one in the end. Keep it coming!
